HS520A Snowblower

Honda Snowblowers come in several design and are split into three main categories, compact single-stage, medium two-stage and large two-stage snowblowers.

The smallest of the Honda snowblower range is the HS520a and HS520KAS. The HS520a has a “easy start Honda 4-stroke engine that is renowned for it’s quietness and lack of smoke and smells. The HS520a is pretty light in comparison and has a 12 inch high and 20 inch clearing width.

These snowblowers are semi-self propelled, using an auger drive and are capable of clearing up to 50 tons of snow per hour. The HS520a snow blower is good for around 1 1/2 hours of usage on a single tank of fuel and comes with a 2 year residential warranty.

The main difference between the HS520A and the HS520KAS snowblowers is the HS520KAS comes with an electric starter. If this is important to you then make sure you get the HS520KAS but I struggle to see the benefit this gives when you take the extra cost in account, especially considering how easy Honda engines are to start manually.

The HS520A snowblower is a great product and is suitable for small jobs like pavements garage areas. The RRP of this snowblower is $679 and $819 for the HS520KAS model but shop around and you should be able to find a significant discount on this price.
