MTD is a US company that was founded in 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio. The company started life as a tool manufacturer and die supplier. The company then moved into the consumer market by supplying and selling products to the toy industry such as tricycles and wheelbarrows in the late 50’s.
They where advised to expand the range of products they supplied to include garden products and produced their first snowblower in the early 60’s.
